Labor Day Number 3 for Insourced Job Search

Happy Birthday to Insourced!
That’s right…having launched (auspiciously and appropriately, some would say) on Labor Day in 2006, Insourced now celebrates its second birthday and third Labor Day. With over 500,000 jobs posts, over 1,700 employer accounts created and over 1 Million visitors to date, the Insourced job board and employment blog have gone from concept to reality to “player” in the course of the past two years. Not that we’ll be mistaken for Monster.com or Career Builder, or even any of the major blogs in the space. The effort has been noticed however, as HR World has ranked the Insourced blog #5 of the Top 25 HR Blogs, noting in the process:

It’s hard to say which is more attractive, the blog or the job-search engine. The blog touches on issues ranging from job hunting to work/life balance, while the search engine covers the entire United States.

It’s certainly nice to get the props, and especially from a site as well-established and respected as HR World. For the upcoming year there will be few changes to Insourced. Job posting will remain free, though the possibility exists that sponsored (read: featured) job posts will be added. Job seekers, of course, will continue to have access to the most up-to-date jobs from a variety of primary-source job boards and, of course, we’ll be posting to the blog when the mood strikes us, and even writing about human resources and employment from time to time, a habit we’ve moved away from a bit over the past several months (some would say for all of 2008 thus far).
