NFL Jobs, MLB Jobs and Other Jobs in Professional Sports

For a great many people out there, working for a professional sports team or anywhere in the organization of a professional sports team seems like the perfect job. We immediately start to imagine George Costanza suddenly thrust into his role as the assistant to the traveling secretary for the New York Yankees. If you’ve ever played high school or college sports, the thought occasionally crosses your mind that you could handle a job for a professional sports franchise. Maybe you’re realistic enough to realize that you’re not going to be replacing Bill Belichick, despite his recent indiscretions. But it’s hard not to think that there’s a cushy “assistant to the traveling secretary” position out there that you could live with.

Especially when you imagine all the perks of going to the games and hanging out with the stars of the team in the off season. It’s easy to dream.

But if you are truly serious about trying to find a job in the NFL, NBA, or MLB, where do you start? I think the best answer to that question is at Teamwork Online. They are the jobs database provider and the applicant tracking system provider for most of the major sports organizations and their respective franchises. And the jobs are not all at the major top level. Minor league teams and franchises are also represented and the positions vary widely in terms of preferred experience and credentials.
