Helping Job Seekers to Truly Understand Job Search
By: Mick, September 5th, 2007
It sounds simple enough. You need a job so you get online and start searching for one. You go to the big job boards and post your resume in their database. Then you start replying to jobs that seem to fit what you are looking for. But there is much more to the process, including having a true understanding of the processes behind the simple actions that I just described.
I have recently re-visited Rileyguide.com and I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the information that Margaret Dikel has compiled. There is information here that will be helpful to even the most savvy job seekers. And in addition to offering excellent information, Rileyguide.com also has countless links to other useful resources.
The guidance provided at the site is very clear and easy to understand. If you are even considering starting a job search anytime soon, this site is one that you absolutely must read.

Hooray, that you found Margaret Riley Dikel’s site. Look for: www.jobhuntersbible.com which is Richard Bolles’ site from What Color Is Your Parachute?
Some people these days hop onto web sites with the erroneous idea that jobs will jump into your lap from the screen! ‘Tain’t so! The job search starts with values, interests & personal goals. Most importantly, the search starts & ends with other people, not web sites.
