Now I Understand Why Paris Hilton is Famous

I should be beaten for reading the article, but I’m tired and my defenses are weakening. When I saw something about Prosecutors recommending jail for Paris Hilton, I couldn’t resist. And I don’t have much of a point except to point out the seemingly serious journalistic explanation of exactly who Paris Hilton is.
Here is the obligatory “explanation line” from the above-referenced story:
Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, first gained notoriety for her hard partying as a teen. She attracted worldwide attention when a sex tape she made with a boyfriend was released on the Internet.
First gained notoriety for her hard partying as a teen? That’s super. Why didn’t I or millions of other teens think of that approach when we pondered how to achieve world-wide fame?
The sex tape is an obvious dead end - that market is flooded. But this hard partying as a teen thing could be a one-way ticket out of the rat race for many an aspiring youngster.
