Jibber Jobber: Empowering Your Job Search and Your Career
By: Mick, January 13th, 2007
If you are an active job seeker or someone who is interested in exploring opportunities to advance your existing career – and we all usually fall into one of those two groups – Jibber Jobber can help you take control of your career path. Jibber Jobber is a job seeking and career management tool that helps users organize the countless sources of jobs, contacts, and other information that are encountered when searching for a new job or simply networking within your existing profession. It also allows users to create a detailed and accessible history of their networking and job seeking efforts and, with control of that information, they are empowered to successfully navigate the often-fragmented world of career advancement.
Jibber Jobber is not a weak “value-add” module spawned from a major job board to keep job seekers sniffing around endlessly for open positions. Rather, it is an application designed by a job seeker during his frustrating job search that began in early 2006. As a result, Jibber Jobber is technologically current and it effectively addresses the specific pains of the job seeking process. With advanced networking and contact management capabilities, Jibber Jobber is an effective tool for anyone that works with people for a living, regardless of whether they are currently seeking a new position. The basic application is free for users and there are worthwhile upgrades available at reasonable rates.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Jibber Jobber is the fact that it was conceived and developed by a single person, Jason Alba. Jason was the frustrated job seeker who applied his application development and business strategy skills to the problems that every online job seeker encounters today – too much information, too few results. And although Jibber Jobber has risen fast and is pushing all the right buttons in the industry, Jason is still completely accessible and willing to engage anyone that wants to learn more about his product and his ideas. He preaches the power of networking and productive communication “even when you don’t feel like it”. I can relate to that. In fact, he reached out to us recently just to say hello and find out more about what we were doing here at Insourced. A very nice gesture when your site is new and still developing. You can find him posting regularly at the Jibber Jobber Blog.

Mick, thanks for the kind words - its fun to see how others summarize JibberJobber, and you hit the nail right on the head!
one note is that I do have a team behind me… while I designed JibberJobber and the features (and spend a significant amount of time in new feature discussions), I do not develop it - I’ve found an excellent tech team to work on that while I work on other aspects to bring value to the users.
Best wishes!
