Niche Job Site JobLoft.com Focuses on Hospitality

Job boards are growing, and one mechanism for that growth is to go “niche”. Whether geography- or industry-based, there’s a job board out there for just about every sub-category and niche job type imaginable. JobLoft.com, which I’ve just recently seen for the first time (better late than never, huh?), is a job board focusing solely on retail, food services and hospitality jobs. And, by the way, eh - JobLoft is a Canadian job board and a search for jobs by an American zip code returned no results and noted an “invalid” zip code. Guess that means there’s a little more niche going on than just the industries covered.

One interesting element of JobLoft, in my mind at least, is that they offer web site owners the ability to post JobLoft jobs on their sites via a javascript code snippet. There doesn’t appear to be an affiliate program involved, but those looking to add jobs to their site who aren’t concerned that the added content isn’t viewable by search engine spiders will find it to be a nice feature. I would suggest, however, that they move towards letting site owners grab jobs by RSS in the future.
