Focus on the Job Starts Early

By: Mick, September 15th, 2006

In my continued exploration of the “blogosphere”, I came across a blog post in Lime, a health and wellness web site. It’s a daily tip from Sarah Kricheff and it talks about getting organized on the job and how the best way to do that is to use your morning energy. It’s a great little piece of “get your ass in gear” advice and here’s the second (and my favorite) of the three items describing why it’s best to make the most of your mornings:

Your day hasn’t yet started to SWERVE OUT OF CONTROL, forcing you into what’s called “reactive state,” reacting to life’s demands as they bombard you. And reactivity is what messes up people’s lives, leading people askew to get caught up with things that seem urgently important, but are NOT LONG-TERM LIFE IMPORTANT.

If that doesn’t speak to the majority of the working world, I don’t know what does.
